BULATOM and the Indian Nuclear Forum Signed a Memorandum of Understanding

On 15 September 2026, Mr. Bogomil Manchev, Chairman of the Managing Board of BULATOM, and Mr. Shamasundar, Honorary Director of the Indian Nuclear Forum (INF), signed a Memorandum of Understanding that lays the foundation for long‑term cooperation in the field of nuclear energy between Bulgaria and India.

INF is a non-governmental industry association serving as a common platform for Indian nuclear industries, institutions, and experts, to promote information exchange on nuclear technology, to support the safe and peaceful development of nuclear power in India, and to foster international cooperation with counterpart organizations abroad.

The Memorandum outlines cooperation in key areas such as the safe and peaceful use of nuclear technologies, human capital development, expert exchange, building business partnerships, and encouraging B2B interactions between companies from both countries.

The document also provides for mutual participation in events, conferences, and business forums, as well as the exchange of information, best practices, and technical expertise. BULATOM and INF will work together to promote the nuclear industry, expand supply chains, and identify joint projects in Bulgaria, India, and third countries.

Тhe signing of the Memorandum represents an important step toward strengthening international cooperation in the nuclear sector and creating new opportunities for industrial, technological, and expert collaboration between Bulgaria and India.
